About Gram Jyoti
Gram JyotiÂ a Non Government Organization was registered in 1998 under Indian Trust Act. 1882, committed to holistic development of society, where poor people can access the resources and hone their indigenous skills. The cornerstone of Gram Jyotiâ€™s work is its trust & faith in the capacity & ability of the community to work for their own development.
It believes in the collective strength of communities to achieve a just society, which is free from exploitation. It also believes in the economic solidarity of the whole society. It works for the voiceless people & save their entitlement approach. The mandate of the Organization is to promote self-empowerment and leadership abilities among the deprived vulnerable & excluded sections of the society.Â
Our efforts are concentrated on developing institutional structures, capacity building and leadership qualities in these people so that they can achieve the dignity of life. It directly works through community based organization in 229 villages covering the geographical area of Deoghar, Dumka, Pakur, Dhanbad, Banka and Bhagalpur districts of Jharkhand & Bihar State.
Gram Jyoti has a human resource comprising of local voluntaries, development professionals and technical staffs who act as facilitators for self-managed development of village.
